One of the most annoying and irriating things for me is losing books and movies. It's not the fact of lending it out that bothers me but the fact that when I surf Amazon to see what other books are out there in which I can buy, I am always reminded of the books I've read or had in my possession until someone borrows it and never or forgets to return it. And then I am faced with a dilemma whether to buy those books again, especially the ones I really enjoy and would want in my library. I've counted at least 10 or so books missing. I really dislike losing or not having things returned. I probably have to stop lending out books from now on. The same goes for movies. On another note, although summer was a bit dramatic in some sense, I really enjoyed my summer: Montana, Summer Retreat, Leadership Planning/Fellowship and then Euro Trip (London, Berlin, Milan and Paris).
London was expensive but relaxing. Not too much too do but a good experience. A really enjoy the late night talks. Berlin was by far the best. It was very, very, relaxing and fun. A very nice hostel with clean rooms and bathrooms. It also had a very fun lobby area with many tvs showing the Olympics in which I hung around a lot. Milan was hot. And nothing was open when we were there because it was a Sunday. It was also quite stressful to travel since we were there for only one day. Paris was lovely and beautiful. At hindsight, I really miss it. Even with all that had happened, I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. I miss it and wish, in some way, that it was a bit longer. And, of course, thanks to you who made my summer--with all the smiles and laughs. Next trip: Las Vegas!!! |
